Just after 9pm on Wednesday, June 4th a fire broke out in one of the production areas of our factory. Thankfully no one was in the building at the time, and the fire department responded quickly.

The Bad News

On Thursday and Friday after the fire we were optimistic we would be able to get back into our offices and shipping area that week and resume shipping soap out to our customers. Unfortunately the smoke damage was much more extensive than originally thought, and we had to relocate our factory.

The Good News!

We secured new space in Middlebury right up the road and are working to rebuild our soap factory. Our new facility will be bigger, with new equipment and enable us to continue to grow.

I placed an order, when will it ship?

We are on track to resume shipping this week (July 10th). Can’t wait? Email us at help@vermontsoap.com for service.

I tried to order online, and everything is ‘Out of Stock’ – what’s up with that?

We have temporarily suspended online ordering until our existing orders are filled.

I’ve been trying to call/email you and have not been able to get through, what’s going on?

The fire damaged a lot of phone and networking wires, and as a result our phone has been unreliable, and not all staff have access to email. Please email us at help@vermontsoap.com for service.

Please subscribe to our newsletter, and follow us on Facebook or Twitter, and you’ll be the first to know when we re-open our web store.

Thank you for your support and patience! We look forward to getting back to making great organic products for you.

All the Best,

Larry Plesent and The Soap Crew

Now you can say “Made in the U.S.A.” despite a stinkin’ fire. Keep up the good work!!! I’m glad nobody was hurt. Remember the adverse conditions our forefathers had to deal with; China needs a big NO THANK YOU in the form of your comeback.
